Why I've built this guide
My story: I’ve lived with chronic Blepharitis for years. I’ve tried the routines, products, prescriptions, and procedures — at home and through the healthcare system.
I learned (slowly) that improvement comes from doing a few basics consistently, not chasing new fixes.
This site exists to shorten that learning curve for others.
What this site is (and isn’t)
This guide is: Practical guidance based on lived experience. Focused on what helps most, not everything that exists. Designed to reduce trial-and-error and decision fatigue. Aimed at managing Blepharitis alongside a normal life.
This guide isn’t: Medical advice. A promise of a cure. A list of every possible treatment.
When to seek medical advice
You should speak to an optometrist or doctor if: a flare-up is not improving despite consistent home care; swelling spreads beyond the eyelids (possible orbital involvement); pain, redness, or discharge is worsening rather than stabilising.
If you’re unsure, it’s always reasonable to get checked.
